What is the safe way of washing the neti pot? Should I wash it after use? Should I be using dish detergent? Or could I assume the nasal rinse powder is antiseptic enough to keep the pot clean too? Thanks.
You should definitely wash the neti pot out with warm water and dishwashing liquid or baby shampoo after each use so it does not collect bacteria. You can find complete cleaning instructions in the brochure that came with your neti pot or on our website under "Directions and Warnings." It is important to let the neti pot dry between usages. We have designed a drying stand that fits both the NeilMed squeeze bottle and the neti pot to ensure hygienic drying and storage.
