The blue and white package is our isotonic mixture packets, which is 0.9% saline. The green package is hypertonic packets, which is 1.8% saline. This is an "extra strength" mixture. There are some studies that suggest hypertonic saline is more effective due to the higher salinity being more effective at drawing out the fluids from the tissues. This product is not available in many stores, and we often suggest you make your own hypertonic (extra strength) solution by using 2 blue packets in 8oz. of water. Some people use hypertonic on a daily basis, and prefer to buy the green box. If you are doing fine with isotonic packets, I would suggest to stick with that. However, if you are very congested one day, you might like to try making a hypertonic solution and see how you feel.
