¿Debo utilizar una combinación de sobres de xilitol + sobres de solución salina azul Neilmeds en mi enjuague nasal dos veces al día para controlar mi rinosinusitis crónica y reducir el riesgo de infecciones bacterianas?

NeilMed’s blue Sinus Rinse packets are the standard isotonic saline formula. The version with added xylitol (labeled “Sinus Rinse with Xylitol”) is the same blue formula plus xylitol.

Both are safe for twice-daily use in chronic rhinosinusitis.

Xylitol may improve comfort, reduce dryness, and—because it decreases bacterial adhesion on the nasal mucosa—it can help reduce the risk of bacterial superinfection.
However, the strongest evidence still supports regular saline as the primary therapy.

If you tolerate the xylitol version well, you may continue using it; otherwise, the regular blue packets are fully appropriate.
