The daily use of nasal irrigation will reduce the inflammation in your nasal passages and subsequently in the sinus cavities. This will allow the sinuses to drain normally or physiologically. If the sinuses are not obstructed or blocked and if your eustachian tubes are not obstructed or blocked, then you will not have sinus and ear pain. Just doing this before the trip will not work out and you need to resolve this issue on a chronic basis.
