On the sinus rinse plastic bottle - it states that there are microwave disinfection details enclosed. Not so. How do I disinfect the bottle using my micro wave?

The instructions for cleaning and disinfecting the squeeze bottle should be in the brochure that comes in the Sinus Rinse box with your device. (Older brochures may not include them.) For future reference, they are also on our website on the "Directions" page. Microwave Disinfection Directions: Clean the device with soap and water and shake off the excess water. Now place the bottle, cap and tube in the microwave for 1.5 to 2 minutes. This will disinfect the device. There are no independent research studies to suggest that this is necessary, however, it is recommended by NeilMed. There are research studies on the subject in progress and it will take 1-2 years to publish the results.
