My wife used the Neti Pot approximately 3 weeks ago. It helped the symptoms she was having - but she cant taste food now. Our primary physician said that was a side-affect - but did not state howlong it would be before she could taste various foods. Can you advise?

Let me assure first of all that NetiPot use either improves sense of smell, does not change it and there should be no reduction at all. Perhaps, she got a cold and that led to temporary reduction in the sense of smell. In this case the sense of smell should return in a few weeks to a few months at maximum. NetiPot mixture by NeilMed is just a saline and there are no chemicals and it is physiologically balanced.
