If I have a cold with a stuffy head - can I use a decongestant like Afrin nasal spray to clear my head - and then use the Sinus Rinse while my head feels clear? Will that help reduce the duration of the cold?

Yes, you can use a decongestant and then use the Sinus Rinse to reduce the duration of the cold. It should help a lot but we cannot predict the type of relief on a consistent basis. Start by using the decongestant to open up your nasal passages. Wait about 15 minutes and then do the sinus rinse. Do not rinse if you have a totally blocked nasal passage as this can put pressure on your eardrums.
