I was recently in Peru - where drinking the water can make people sick. I rinsed my sinuses with that same water straight from the tap. Could that be the cause of what now feels like a horrible sinus infection?

I would urge you to discuss this with your doctor. Meanwhile, as long as you do not have a blocked nasal passage, you should get relief from rinsing with Sinus Rinse solution made with water free of bacteria (distilled or previously boiled).
