I use the sinus rinse – lightly blow my nose – and it still drains for a couple of hours after I use it. Why is that? I had the sinus surgery 1yr ago.

It is normal for some solution to pool in the sinuses, especially if you have had sinus surgery. This normally drains out in the first 15 to 20 minutes after rinsing. Sometimes it does not drain until hours later when you bend over. It will not cause infection but can be bothersome, which is why we recommend rinsing an hour before going out or going to bed. We suggest that after you rinse you bend your head over and tilt your head from side to side while blowing your nose gently. As to your headaches, if they persist, please consult with your doctor.
