I use sinus rinse daily one hour before bed. I have a deviated septum. After rinse my nasal congestion is worse that prior. I need to blow my nose for the halh hour as my sinuses drain. Also I feel as if mucus is being forced into my ear canals when I blow my nose during rinsing. Is all of this normal?

Please switch the rinse to AM than PM. Try two packets instead of one packet and please do not blow the nose hard as it will lead to pain and ear problems. You need to see an ear nose and throat doctor that is an ENT specialist.
