The Sinus Rinse is a positive pressure system where you can stand upright while leaning over the sink, gently squeeze the bottle and allow the solution to flow through the nostril. The neti pot is a gravity flow method where you tip your head to the side and allow the solution to flow through the nostril. The neti pot is a slightly more gentle flow; however, if you have chronic sinusitis, the sinus rinse may be a better option because the positive pressure helps to dislodge mucus and pollutants, thus reducing inflammation.
