I have been using nedi pot due to sinues bockage - and post nasel drip - over the last few days and am feeling better there has been a great deal of stuff coming out of my nose? some of it looks like it could be blood - but when done my nose is not bleeding . Should i continue using? Is this normal?
Secretions from the nose can look bloody as hemoglobin in the blood gives it a strong color. A light pink discharge should not be cause for alarm. Using Sinus Rinse should not lead to nasal bleed by itself unless you blow very hard after rinsing. If you are using medications such as Warfarin or Coumadin, Plavix, corticosteroid nasal sprays, aspirin or anti-inflmmatory pills this may predispose you to a nose bleed. At any rate, it is perfectly safe to continue using the neti pot. Just make sure you follow the directions carefully.
