I have a prescription for a steroid rinse that has me break open a capsule of a compounded steroid and mix the contents into 4 ounces of .9% Sodium Chloride solution. My question is what is the amount of sodium chloride in the packets that come with my NeilMed bottles? If you cannot answer that directly - can you tell me the ratio I should use of packets to ml or ounces of distilled water to create a .9% solution. I do understand the packet also contains sodium bicarbonate as a buffer. Thank you.
