I have a post nasal drip - so I used the neti pot for the 1st time today. I become congested after using it and have been sneezing and blowing my nose all day. I expected to feel better - but this is worse. Is this normal? Do I need to keep trying?

Only thing I can think about is the exposure to more allergens as the excessive mucus has been washed out. It is just a theory. I trust that you did not forget to mix the solution properly. If one does not mix it well one can get hypotonic or dilute solution and one will congested right after the nasal irrigation procedure.
