I followed the instructions on this site to disinfect the bottle cap and tube by microwaving and the tube melted. Should the tube be disinfected this way or just cleaned?

Perhaps the microwave was used before and the tube melted due to prior heat. This happens very rarely. Please call the office so we can send the new tube to you. Tube has been tested and validated for the microwave. Of course, if the heat exceeds certain temperature, anything can melt.
