Hi - I have your Sinus Rinse bottle and when I use it - my nose seems more congested the day after than before. I use the salt packets and a few drops of Neti-wash plus in the water. And I use previously boiled water. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have any suggestions? I really want to be able to breathe out of my nose!

Sometimes people experience reflex or rebound congestion with exposure to saline. This condition is usually very transient. If symptoms continue, consider using a hypertonic (extra strength) solution. Hypertonic packets are green (compared to isotonic blue), but you can always add 2 isotonic packets to 8oz (240mL) of distilled, micro-filtered (through 0.2 micron), commercially bottled or previously boiled water. You may also want to try an over-the-counter decongestant for a day or two. This congestion you are experiencing should resolve with time, and unless severely symptomatic, there is no need to discontinue nasal irrigation.
