You may be blowing your nose too hard after rinsing. To avoid problems, tilt your head forward as shown in the diagram in the brochure that came with your device (straight forward and horizontal to the countertop for the squeeze bottle and to the side with one ear pointed up toward the ceiling for the neti pot). After rinsing, blow your nose gently while titing your head forward and to the opposite side of the nasal passage that you just rinsed. If you are using the squeeze bottle, try putting less pressure on it when you squeeze and this also may help avoid putting pressure on your ear drums.
