Does it matter that I put the salt in the bottle before the water?I dont cover the lid when I shake and all contents remain in the bottle?

It does not matter when you put before the rinse. It does matter to put it for sure or you will be in a big trouble and you will get severe burning with the plain water without any salt mixture.
