My eyes have been checked by an opthomogist and the irritation or pain is not eye related. My pain is behind the left eye. I wonder if the pain can be located in a sinus. Im unable to tell - by your pictures - if there are sinuses behind the left eye.

I suggest that you see an ENT specialist. You do not want to take any chances when it comes to eyes. Unusual for one to have only one side Sinus pain but can happen. Also, one can get pain due to tooth related issues. Best is to seek additional medical help.
