I have sinus infection problems and have used the sqeeze bottle daily for 1 to 2 months over about 2 years. Occasionally Rinse seems to be getting from the sinsus into the inside ear resulting in ear pain for 1 to 2 months. Any way to stop this and to relieve or shorten pain?
You should not be rinsing in the presence of an acute or new ear infection or ear discomfort of any kind. We always advise that you consult your physician, or wait until symptoms subside, before starting the rinses again. When you do rinse, please make sure you keep your head in the proper position during irrigation or the flow won€™t be as desired. The tip of your nose should be aiming for the center of the sink with your forehead horizontal to the countertop/floor. If it is tilted too far forward the solution may go in your ears. Make sure you do not blow your nose too hard after rinsing, as this can put pressure on your eardrums.
